New Banners Bring Color, Excitement to Bakersfield’s Amtrak Parking Lot
Visitors arriving in the parking lot of Bakersfield’s Amtrak station are now greeted by large colorful banners highlighting things to see and do in California’s ninth largest city. These banners, courtesy of Visit Bakersfield, complement the banners that were installed inside the station last summer.
Four different images welcome passengers and those who meet them in the parking lot. Each image plays on the city’s tag line, “The Sound of Something Better.” The images are repeated throughout the parking lot on 20 separate poles.
“The banners add color and visual excitement to the area, and highlight some of Bakersfield’s many fun activities,” said Visit Bakersfield Manager David Lyman. “We are always looking for ways to showcase the best of Bakersfield to help visitors and residents spend their money, and these banners are our latest way to do that.”
Bakersfield’s Amtrak station is located downtown at 601 Truxtun Avenue, directly south of Visit Bakersfield and the Kern Veterans Memorial. The banners were designed by Visit Bakersfield, and produced and installed by Elite Signs and Promotions.
