Thousand Flags

Overview

Literally, One-Thousand Flags will be presented to honor, remember and appreciate those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in serving our country. Programming throughout the weekend also honors current military and first responders. The public is invited to stroll through the majestic display of flags at their leisure.

New this year, a free concert on Saturday evening featuring three local bands: Veterans Family Band, The Habbits, and the Kern County Pipe Band. Bakersfield Barbecue Co. will provide meals for purchase during the concert and a beer and beverage garden will accompany the evening festivities.

Also, the inaugural Thousand Flags Fun Run will commence Sunday morning allowing runners and walkers of all levels to enjoy the beautiful setting as they complete the 5K or 1-mile run/walk. Registration is open at bbrc.org
