“Taft and Beyond” – Charlotte White Art Exhibit

Join us at Taft College for “Taft and Beyond,” a solo exhibition by celebrated Kern County artist Charlotte White. Known for her plein air oil paintings and pastel sketches on local newspapers, White captures the charm of rural landscapes, historic landmarks, and iconic vistas throughout Kern County and beyond.

With a background in art education and decades of artistic practice across the U.S. and South America, White began painting in Taft in 2010 and has since created a visual archive of the region’s rich cultural and natural beauty. This exhibit features works painted on location and refined in the studio—offering a rare glimpse into fleeting moments of light, place, and history.
