9th Annual Panorama Creative Music Summit with Wadada Leo Smith

Overview

The Panorama Creative Music Summit is a showcase for new and original music by visiting artists, local performers, and BC faculty, students, and alumni. This year’s summit will feature legendary trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator Wadada Leo Smith performing with Jazz Studies faculty and directing student musicians in the Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combos. Wadada Leo Smith will work with students in the Bakersfield College Jazz Studies program from September 15-17 with two free public events in the Simonsen Performing Arts Center Indoor Theater: an artist talk on Monday, September 15 at 1pm, and a concert with BC student and faculty ensembles on Wednesday, September 17 at 7pm.
