41st Annual Kern Shakespeare Festival
October 1, 2025 | 7:30 PM –10:00 PM
Overview
The Kern Shakespeare Festival kicks off with Cody Ganger's completely reimagined production of the rarely seen All’s Well That Ends Well. Sometimes considered a romantic comedy, sometimes a "problem play," Ganger has tightened the script to present the centuries-old story as a thrilling exploration of human desire and obsession. Starring familiar festival favorites and exciting young talent, All's Well That Ends Well will play October 1 – 12 in the Edward Simonsen Black Box Theater.
Paired with All’s Well That Ends Well for this year’s festival, real-life married couple Brian and Ellie Sivesind will direct themselves in Shakespeare’s comic masterpiece, Much Ado About Nothing as the iconically witty duo of Benedick and Beatrice. Set in a 1920s jazz club and featuring a live band led by BC Jazz Studies director Kris Tiner, Much Ado About Nothing plays October 4 – 10 in the Edward Simonsen Indoor Theater.
The festival opens on Wednesday, October 1 at 7:30 PM in the Black Box Theatre with a performance of All's Well That Ends Well and continues through October 12. Tickets are available for purchase at bit.ly/bcartstix.
