Kern River Canyon Ride

The Kern River Canyon Ride is a 90-mile, advanced level ride that starts at Calm Zoo, follows Alfred Harrell Hwy to Comanche and Breckenridge Road. The ride climbs Breckenridge mountain and descends to Havilah. It continues to Bodfish and then follows the Old Kern Canyon Road. At the corner of 178 and Old Kern Canyon Road, riders pick up a CHP escort down the canyon. Riders leave the escort at the mouth of the canyon and return to Calm Zoo for an optional BBQ.

Bakersfield Time Trial Course Ride

The Amgen Tour of California Time Trial Course ride is the 18.4 mile time-trial course the professionals will ride on May 17th, 2012. There will be two formats, a family style group ride, pace of your choice. Kids will be free, 1 child per paying adult. The second format is a race just like May 17th. Every 30 seconds a rider will take off and race the clock. Riders can compare their time to the pros when they come!
