I walked down to the Brimhall Square Farmers Market on Wednesday evening. For under $10 I was able to buy corn, asparagus, potatoes, limes and bell peppers.
The food is locally-grown, fresh and the atmosphere is great. There was a live band, about 20 booths and it was easily accessible with plenty of parking.
There are other farmers markets around Bakersfield, but this one is pretty nice. Check it out every Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Brimhall Square parking lot at the corner of Brimhall and Calloway.
Nice article in the Californian today about our mission and accomplishments as well as our friends over at the Board of Trade. All good news for Bakersfield/Kern County.

The Bakersfield Museum of Art has begun to post podcasts on youtube related to events and exhibits going on at the museum.
